About Sai
Technology that helps people live fuller lives.
We’re building Sai to help people understand their care, manage daily routines and work through difficulties with a personal assistant they can speak to day and night. Our purpose is to make that assistance available to more people through the organisations that provide their care.
Developing Sai
We are seeking care organisations to help develop and evaluate Sai.
Care providers understand the routines their patients find difficult and the responsibilities their staff carry. We want to work with them to decide where Sai’s assistance would be useful and how it should fit into their service.
Together, we would evaluate whether patients can use the assistance, whether it helps them follow their care plans and how it affects staff workload. The findings would guide improvements to Sai and decisions about introducing it into everyday care.
Our longer-term ambition
Learn which assistance makes a difference to patients.
In the longer term, we want to help care organisations compare the assistance received by patients with similar needs and examine their subsequent progress. For example, they could investigate whether guidance through a prescribed routine helps patients continue with it and whether that participation is associated with better outcomes.
That research requires permission to use patient information. Before using the findings to change care, organisations would need further studies to establish whether the assistance itself improves outcomes.
